Bouillon is a very versatile ingredient and I would highly recommend you always keep it in your kitchen.
What is bouillon? It is a dry substance that comes in the form of cubes or granules that will turn into stock if you add water.
And what is stock? Stock is the base that you use for many dishes, such as soups - it is basically liquid that holds the flavor of something like chicken or beef.
Bouillon is very handy because it doesn't need to be refrigerated and it only takes a little bit to make a large amount of stock. This is ideal if you don't have a spacious fridge or freezer to keep liquid stock. It is also a quick method to make stock, rather than the traditional way. Mind you, it is not the highest quality, but it is good enough that it will be suitable for most dishes.
I will be posting many recipes in which you will be using bouillon or stock. So make sure you get some! Go to Walmart or Target and you can find lots of it for very cheap. Beef and chicken are most commonly used. If you are vegetarian, just get vegetable bouillon and substitute it in recipes that call for chicken or beef stock.
I hope this helps, and I will have more tips and recipes for you soon!
